Celtic are reportedly preparing a significant move to sign Cláudio Braga from their Premiership rivals Hearts during the upcoming summer transfer window. The 26-year-old Portuguese forward has enjoyed a stellar campaign at Tynecastle, and the Hoops see him as the ideal candidate to lead a major overhaul of their attacking options for the 2026/2027 season.
With 15 goals in all competitions this season, Braga has caught the eye of the Celtic hierarchy at a time when current forward Daizen Maeda has struggled for consistent form. Former Celtic icon Chris Sutton has already praised the Portuguese attacker, describing him as a potential "immediate upgrade" for Brendan Rodgers' side. Braga’s clinical finishing and tactical versatility have made him one of the standout performers in the Scottish top flight since joining Hearts in July 2025.
Despite having a contract that runs until May 2028, a substantial offer could tempt Hearts to sell their prize asset. Currently valued at €6 million by Transfermarkt, Braga has registered 12 goals and 5 assists in 29 league appearances this term. For Celtic, securing Braga would not only weaken a direct rival but also provide the goal-scoring threat needed to maintain their dominance in Scotland and compete more effectively in European competitions.
