Nottingham Forest offer 27 million for this Lyon star

Former Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton has emerged as a potential target for Nottingham Forest ahead of the January transfer window. The 23-year-old came up through the ranks at Anfield and made a handful of appearances for the senior side. He left the club for Lyon in the summer but a quick return to the Premier League could now be on the cards.

It is suggested that where Forest are concerned, eyeing up the ex-England Under-21 international points to forward planning amid plenty of suitors for Elliot Anderson. Palace and Brighton are said to be in a similar situation regarding Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba respectively.

Morton’s future, it is claimed, could be ‘intrinsically tied to that trio’ as a transfer domino effect. Lyon are reportedly not looking to sell but the opportunity to ‘more than double’ the £15 million they paid for the player might be difficult to turn down.

Liverpool are said to have a 20 percent sell-on clause on Morton. They have also been ‘keeping tabs on’ their former player but it seems they do not have a buyback clause for him.
