Crystal Palace targets first signing for 2026

It's not an easy time for Rick Karsdorp, former Roma defender. Having passed the fateful threshold of 30, the full-back is currently without a team to play for. After parting ways with the Giallorossi a year ago, Karsdorp returned to Holland, to PSV. Last season, however, was marked by ups and downs: 12 appearances in the Eredivisie (where he still managed to provide two assists), 7 in the Champions League. As we reported last January, the Dutch media weren't particularly enthusiastic about his performances. So much so, in any case, that his contract was not renewed at the end of the season.

Possible future in the Premier League

Now, however, something is apparently moving regarding his future. Karsdorp remains an experienced player, although he has lost his edge and consistency for some time now. According to international transfer expert Ekrem Konur, the defender has been targeted by West Ham and Crystal Palace, both of whom are looking for reinforcements on the market. The former Roma player, having been left without a club, could be signed as a free agent.
